Tsunami Preparedness Week – April 14-20
We are currently scheduling public education activities for Tsunami Preparedness Week. If you would like us to visit your community, please let us know by emailing office@bcearthquakealliance.ca. Earthquake Preparedness Tour with the Quake Cottage
We are currently working with communities, partners and sponsors to host stops on the Earthquake Preparedness Tour with the Quake Cottage earthquake simulator. Visits are confirmed on Vancouver Island during Tsunami Preparedness Week during April. Thank you to the Insurance Bureau of Canada for being our anchor sponsor!

Next Virtual Community of Practice
Community Groups and Organizations are invited to Join us on February 27 at 1p.m. for our next virtual Community of Practice. BCEA Board Member Miranda Myles will facilitate. Quake Tales Project
We are currently looking for stories from British Columbians who have survived and earthquake or tsunami. Please spread the word. We know that stories with a local connection makes a difference.
ShakeOut BC Earthquake Drill will take place at 10:17 on October 17th. Sign up is open.
Thank you to everyone who held events and encouraged participation within their communities and organizations during ShakeOut Week in 2023. Almost 725,000 participants officially participated by December 31st . Sign up is now open for new and renewing ShakeOut BC Earthquake Drill participants at www.shakeoutbc.ca. The theme this year is ‘If you are prepared for an earthquake, you are prepared for anything’.
